Description |
A self-taught artist and photographer by trade, Charles C. Krutch spent much of his free time hiking, sketching, and painting in the Smoky Mountains. He became one of the first artists to specialize in East Tennessee landscapes, applying paint in thick layers with brushes or even his fingers. With its atmospheric view and Krutch’s Knoxville roots, this painting is a favorite for several different courses at UT. |
