Description |
Stained glass window, one of two. This small window insert (roundel) commemorates the wedding in 1520 of Ann Margarrett Von Biwiligen, who kneels before her family coat of arms, to Ortamus Ritter Schenkh. This window insert, or roundel, is an early 1900s reproduction of the 16th century method of making stained glass whereby leaded glass sections are coated with transparent enamel colors and fused. Afterwards, the paint was scratched away with a pointed tool for modeling the design. |
