"House Cat," from the Cats Suite, 1978, color lithograph by Karel Appel. Part of a set of dealer's proofs in an edition of 15, and probably pulled before the edition of 125. In pencil on the bottom left of the prints is written the dealer's proof number (H.C. XIII/XV), with the dealer's inventory number (148.904) on the bottom right rear corner. All the prints are signed "Appel" in pencil below the image, in the bottom right hand corner. |
