"Ditionis pagi Scaphusiani qui confederatae Helvetiorum reipublicae," Augsburg, 1731, hand-colored engraving, map by George Matthaus Seutter
A map of northern Switzerland centered on the fortified city of Schaffhausen on the Rhine which flows through the center of the map from Kayserfluhl to Stein. The local topography is clearly shown in this map, with elevation marked with distinctive hatching. The celebrated Rheinnau Falls appear to the southwest of Schaffhausen, and are also depicted in the allegorical asymmetrical rococo tile cartouche upper left.
