|Notes||Margaret Patterson Bartlett was the great-granddaughter of President Andrew Johnson and an important figure in establishing the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site. In 1949, she married Rev. Dr. William Thaw Bartlett, son of a former president of Maryville College, at the Johnson Homestead in Greeneville in 1949. Dr. Bartlett passed away in 1954, and they had no children. Margaret Bartlett served as an official host at the Andrew Johnson Homestead from 1942 until her retirement in 1974.|
